Justin Baldoni to Launch Website Defending Against Allegations

Justin Baldoni is taking the battle over allegations made by his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively to the digital stage. The director and actor’s legal team is preparing to launch a dedicated website aimed at supporting his defense, where they will release evidence intended to refute Lively’s claims of inappropriate behavior during filming.

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, confirmed the initiative, emphasizing that the actor and his team have the right to publicly present their side of the story. “Justin and the team have the right to defend themselves with the truth, and this is what we will continue to show through the upcoming website, which will feature all correspondence and relevant videos that directly challenge her claims,” Freedman stated. This announcement comes after the release of raw footage from the It Ends With Us set, which Freedman shared with Us Weekly. The videos, he claims, disprove Lively’s accusations that Baldoni acted “inappropriately” during a particular scene of the film.

The footage, which was taken on May 23, 2023, features a slow dance montage between Baldoni, 40, and Lively, 37, and is presented with a statement addressing the actress’s allegations. The message reads, “Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior.”

The statement continues by describing the scene in question, which was intended to show the two characters falling in love and growing closer. The footage reportedly shows both actors maintaining professionalism throughout the sequence, with mutual respect for one another. “These are all three takes filmed of the sequence,” the statement adds, reinforcing the claim that the scene was executed within the agreed-upon context.

In the video, both Baldoni and Lively can be seen smiling and laughing as they perform the dance without dialogue. Lively even suggested that adding conversation during the dance might make the scene feel “more romantic.”

The ongoing legal drama between Baldoni and Lively began last year, fueled by rumors of tension between the two on set. These rumors escalated further after Baldoni and Lively did not promote the Colleen Hoover adaptation together, sparking widespread speculation about the nature of their relationship during production.
