In one of the most electrifying encounters of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Karachi Kings pulled off a sensational victory over Multan Sultans, winning by four wickets in a high-octane clash at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The match, which was the third fixture of the tournament, kept fans on the edge of their seats till the final over.
Batting first, Multan Sultans posted a mammoth total of 234 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Their innings was powered by a spectacular unbeaten century from skipper Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 105 off just 63 deliveries. He was well-supported by Michael Bracewell, who smashed an unbeaten 44 off 17 balls, while Kamran Ghulam added a quickfire 36 from 19 balls. The explosive batting display from Multan Sultans looked more than enough, but Karachi Kings had other plans.

Chasing 235, Karachi Kings launched a fearless assault right from the start. James Vince led the charge with a blistering knock of 101 runs from just 43 balls, anchoring the chase brilliantly. Khushdil Shah contributed 60 runs, while Tim Seifert chipped in with 32. The Kings managed to surpass the target with four balls to spare, registering a memorable win that showcased their batting depth and resilience.
From Multan’s bowling lineup, Akif Javed stood out with figures of 3 for 41 in his four overs. Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell picked up one wicket each, but they couldn’t contain the aggressive batting from Karachi.
With this thrilling victory, Karachi Kings have made a strong statement in PSL 10, showing they are serious contenders this season. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans, despite their strong batting effort, will need to reassess their bowling strategy going forward.
Both Karachi and Multan are now eyeing their next fixtures with renewed focus, as the tournament heats up.
