Temperatures could climb to 42°C as weather experts warn residents to minimise outdoor activities during peak hours.

KARACHI: Karachi is expected to experience a significant increase in temperatures this week, with the mercury likely to rise as high as 42°C, according to weather forecasts.

The latest forecast indicates that the country’s financial and commercial hub will remain under the influence of hot and dry weather conditions, accompanied by strong winds and high ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Karachi is expected to record a high of 38°C and a low of 30°C. Weather conditions will remain windy and very warm with prolonged periods of sunshine. The RealFeel temperature is forecast to reach 43°C, while winds from the west-southwest may blow at around 28 kilometres per hour.

Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, June 10, when temperatures are likely to remain around 38°C. Forecasters have advised caution for people spending extended periods outdoors, as the RealFeel temperature could rise to 44°C.

The hottest day of the week is expected to be Thursday, June 11, with the temperature forecast to surge to 42°C. Hazy sunshine and strong afternoon winds are expected to intensify the heat, pushing the RealFeel temperature to 45°C. Weather experts have warned that heat conditions could become dangerous and advised residents to minimise outdoor activities during the day.

Although temperatures may ease slightly on Friday, June 12, the city is still expected to remain extremely hot, with a maximum temperature of 40°C and a minimum of 31°C. The RealFeel temperature is forecast at 43°C.

Throughout the forecast period, there is no chance of rainfall, while the UV Index is expected to remain at 13, categorised as “Very Unhealthy”. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct exposure to sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses.

The upcoming weather pattern highlights the continuation of intense summer conditions in Karachi as the city moves deeper into the hot season.
