Kelly Osbourne has recently shared insights into how she navigates health challenges within her family, drawing from her own personal experiences and struggles.
Over the years, Kelly Osbourne has faced multiple health-related scares, and she has learned to prioritize what truly matters when dealing with such difficulties.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the Clarins’ Beauty Icons event in Los Angeles on March 21, Kelly Osbourne reflected on her recent battle with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which affected both her and her two-year-old son in late December. She revealed that they suffered from high fevers and breathing issues, making it a particularly difficult time for her family.
“There’s health scare after health scare, and you have to sit there and realize what is real, what is not, what is important, what is healthy, and what makes you feel the best version of yourself,” said the 40-year-old.
Kelly Osbourne further explained that maintaining her mental and physical well-being has become a priority. “That’s what I work toward—always trying to just be the best version of me,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Kelly Osbourne has spoken about frightening medical incidents in her family. She previously shared the terrifying moment when her son was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
“I got him out in four pushes. But before we started pushing, he turned, and the cord got wrapped around his neck,” she recalled.
Kelly Osbourne described the tense atmosphere in the delivery room, noting that the medical team had to act swiftly. “The doctor said, ‘We have to do this quickly,’ and I just focused and got him out in four pushes,” she shared.
Beyond her son’s birth complications, Kelly Osbourne also faced another terrifying moment in 2024 when her partner suffered severe burns following a bonfire explosion at his farm in August.
Despite these challenges, Kelly Osbourne remains resilient, focusing on health, family, and personal growth. She continues to use her platform to discuss these experiences, inspiring others to stay strong in the face of adversity.
