Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has increased the prices of KIA cars after imposition of new taxes and devaluation of Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against US Dollar.
The federal cabinet approved the Finance Supplementary Bill 2023 allowing increase in general sales tax to 18 per cent and additional taxes on luxury items as part of the reforms related to the International Monetary Fund’s Ninth Review.
The uncertain economic situation and devaluation of local currency has made it extremely difficult for Lucky Motors to hold the current retail selling prices and therefore, the company has decided to pass on the impact to the market.
Following are the increased prices for all variants of KIA Picanto:
The price of KIA Picanto MT is increased by Rs28,000 to Rs3,228,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs3,200,000.
The price of KIA Picanto AT is increased by Rs30,000 to Rs3,430,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs3,400,000.
Following are the increased prices for all variants of KIA Stonic:
The price of KIA Stonic EX is increased by Rs42,000 to Rs4,828,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,800,000.
The price of KIA Stonic EX+ is increased by Rs45,000 to Rs5,295,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs5,250,000.
Following are the increased prices for all variants of KIA Sportage:
The price of KIA Sportage Alpha is increased by Rs56,000 to Rs6,556,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs6,500,000.
The price of KIA Sportage FWD is increased by Rs61,000 to Rs7,111,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs7,050,000.
The price of KIA Sportage AWD is increased by Rs66,000 to Rs7,716,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs7,650,000.

The price of KIA Sorento 3.5L FWD is increased by Rs78,000 to Rs9,178,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs9,100,000.
