KIA Pakistan has decided to maintain the prices of certain models in Pakistan, despite their recent announcement of a price increase for KIA vehicles.
The company has chosen to keep the prices unchanged for the base models of two vehicles as well as their luxurious MUV.
The following models will retain their current prices:
The price of the KIA Picanto MT will remain steady at Rs3,350,000.
The price of the KIA Stonic Ex will stay the same at Rs5,350,000.
The price of the KIA Carnival Executive will not be affected and will remain at Rs16,750,000.
However, the company did confirm the price increase for other KIA vehicles, citing the uncertain and challenging economic conditions in the country as the primary reason. These revised prices will come into effect starting from July 5, 2023.
The decision to raise prices was influenced by multiple factors, including the recent implementation of a higher sales tax rate of 18 percent by the government and the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee. These circumstances have compelled the company to adjust their car prices in order to offset the rising production costs.
All KIA models are currently available for booking, with the option of full payment and price lock. Only the Carnival Executive model allows for partial payment during booking.
Here are the revised ex-factory prices for KIA vehicles, which will be effective from July 5, 2023:
Revised Prices of KIA Picanto:
The ex-factory price of the KIA Picanto AT has been increased by Rs200,000 to Rs3,825,000 from its previous price of Rs3,625,000.
Revised Prices of KIA Stonic:
The ex-factory price of the KIA Stonic EX+ has been raised by Rs120,000 to Rs6,050,000 from its previous price of Rs5,930,000.
Revised Prices of KIA Sportage:
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sportage Alpha has seen an increase of Rs250,000, bringing it to Rs7,300,000 from its previous price of Rs7,050,000.
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sportage FWD has also increased by Rs250,000, reaching Rs8,190,000 from its previous price of Rs7,940,000.
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sportage AWD has undergone a similar increase of Rs250,000, now priced at Rs8,820,000 compared to its previous price of Rs8,570,000.
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sportage Black Edition has been raised by Rs250,000, reaching Rs9,300,000 from its previous price of Rs9,050,000.
Revised Prices of KIA Sorento:
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sorento 2.4L FWD has experienced an increase of Rs400,000, now priced at Rs10,800,000 compared to its previous price of Rs10,400,000.
The ex-factory price of the KIA Sorento 2.4L AWD has also increased by Rs400,000, reaching Rs11,700,000 from its previous price of Rs11,300,000.
However, the ex-factory price of the KIA Sorento 3.5L FWD has actually decreased by Rs400,000, bringing it down to Rs11,390,000 from its previous price of Rs11,790,000.
