Kia Pakistan’s September 18 unveiling at PAPS 2026 has fueled speculation that the upgraded Stonic could enter the local market with refreshed styling, improved technology and advanced safety features.
Kia Motor Pakistan has announced plans to unveil a new vehicle at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 on September 18.
Although the company has not disclosed the model’s name, its teaser campaign has led to speculation that the updated Kia Stonic could be introduced to Pakistani customers.
The automaker has released several teaser images showing selected design elements of the upcoming vehicle.
These include distinctive daytime running lights, rear lighting details and a partial roof view. The visual clues have strengthened expectations that the new model could be the facelifted Stonic.
However, Kia Pakistan has yet to officially confirm the vehicle’s identity or provide details about its local specifications.
Updated Kia Stonic Could Feature Refreshed Design
The latest international version of the Kia Stonic reportedly features significant exterior and interior improvements while maintaining its compact crossover identity. The model measures approximately 4,165 mm in length and provides up to 352 litres of luggage space.
The refreshed design follows Kia’s modern “Opposites United” styling philosophy. Key changes include a redesigned front fascia, a sharper grille, revised bumpers and updated Star Map Signature Lighting. The rear section also receives revised lighting elements and styling enhancements.
New 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel designs further contribute to the crossover’s updated appearance.
Engine Options May Vary in Pakistan
International markets offer the updated Stonic with a 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine, including mild-hybrid configurations. Depending on the market, buyers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Kia Pakistan has not yet confirmed which engine, transmission or powertrain configuration would be available locally. The final specifications are expected to be announced during the vehicle’s unveiling.
More Technology and Safety Features
Inside, the updated Stonic features a redesigned cabin with a dual-display arrangement incorporating two 12.3-inch screens. Additional equipment may include USB-C charging ports, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting and Kia Connect services.
International versions also offer advanced driver-assistance technologies, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist and Lane Following Assist.
Kia Pakistan is expected to reveal the mystery vehicle and its specifications on September 18, 2026. Until the official announcement, the new-generation Stonic remains a strong possibility rather than a confirmed Pakistani launch.
