Pop star Lady Gaga and rising rapper Doechii have released the music video for their collaboration “Runway,” a high-fashion spectacle tied to the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Directed by Parris Goebel, the video features elaborate costume changes, synchronized choreography and a dramatic runway finale, mirroring the film’s fashion-centric narrative. The track appears during a backstage sequence set at Milan Fashion Week, capturing models preparing moments before stepping onto the catwalk.

“Runway” has quickly gained traction on streaming platforms, debuting at No. 32 on Spotify’s global chart with close to three million streams. In the United States, it opened at No. 25 with more than 727,000 streams on its first day, signaling strong early demand for the collaboration.

Speaking to British Vogue, Gaga praised Doechii’s artistry and lyrical depth. “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary,” Gaga said, highlighting the rapper’s emotional range and bold style.

The collaboration builds on an existing rapport between the two artists. In 2025, Doechii presented Gaga with the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, marking an early public link between the pair.

“Runway” was co-produced by Andrew Watt alongside Bruno Mars, Cirkut and Dernst Emile II, with songwriting contributions from the same team and Jayda Love.

Gaga also makes a cameo appearance in the film and recently wrapped her “Mayhem Ball” tour. The film, starring Emily Blunt, is set for release on May 1, continuing the story of fashion editor Miranda Priestly amid the decline of print media.
