Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4 Teaser

Netflix has officially unveiled the first teaser for The Witcher Season 4, giving fans their much-anticipated first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia.

The Australian actor takes over the iconic role from Henry Cavill, who portrayed the white-haired monster hunter for the first three seasons.

The teaser, released on Saturday, September 13, showcases Hemsworth in Geralt’s signature armor, confronting a ghostly wraith. The brief clip highlights the character’s dark, brooding presence and gives fans a glimpse of how Hemsworth will bring his own energy to the role while staying true to the essence of the character.

Alongside Hemsworth, the new season will see the return of several beloved cast members. Anya Chalotra reprises her role as sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, while Freya Allan returns as Princess Cirilla (Ciri). Joey Batey is back as fan-favorite bard Jaskier. New additions to the cast include Hollywood veteran Laurence Fishburne as Regis, joined by Eamon Farren (Cahir), Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla), and Cassie Clare (Philippa). Other notable names joining the ensemble include Mahesh Jadu, Meng’er Zhang, Graham McTavish, and Royce Pierreson.

According to the official logline, Season 4 will pick up after the dramatic, Continent-shaping events of Season 3. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are separated by war and hunted by countless enemies. As their paths diverge, they find unlikely allies who may shape their destinies. The story promises high-stakes battles, shifting loyalties, and the potential for an emotional reunion if the trio can navigate their fractured world.

The Witcher Season 4 is set to premiere on October 30, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. Fans can also look forward to a fifth and final season, which has already been confirmed, promising to bring Geralt’s saga to a dramatic conclusion.

With Hemsworth stepping into Cavill’s shoes, the upcoming season is poised to be one of the most talked-about entries in the franchise, as viewers eagerly anticipate how the new Geralt will shape the future of The Witcher.
