Islamabad, February 9, 2025 – Light rain is anticipated across several districts of Punjab on Monday, bringing a cooler atmosphere as cloud cover extends over the province.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a drop in temperature due to the cloudy conditions, which will enhance the prevailing winter chill in Punjab.
According to the PMD’s weather predictions for Monday, February 10, 2025, the majority of districts in Punjab will experience cold and dry conditions. However, in the evening and night hours, certain northern districts, including Attock, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum, are likely to witness partly cloudy weather accompanied by light rain and winds. Furthermore, the hill stations of Murree, Galiyat, and their surrounding regions may receive light rain, with the possibility of light snowfall as well.
For Sunday night, February 9, 2025, Punjab is expected to experience mainly cold and dry weather. However, Murree, Galiyat, and adjacent areas will likely have partly cloudy conditions, adding to the wintry feel across these elevated regions.
At the national level, the PMD has reported that a continental air mass is currently prevailing over most parts of Pakistan. Additionally, a weak westerly wave is affecting northwestern parts of the country and is expected to persist in the upper regions for the next two days.
