Karachi, August 21, 2023 – Lucky Cement Limited, a leading player in the Pakistani cement industry, proudly announced the successful completion and commissioning of its 25-megawatt captive solar power plant.

In a communication shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Lucky Cement disclosed that the 25MW captive solar power plant, strategically located at its manufacturing site in Karachi, is now operational. With this new addition, the company’s installed power generation capacity for self-consumption from renewable sources has reached an impressive 39 percent. This percentage includes the 34MW solar power plant that was earlier commissioned in December 2022 at the company’s manufacturing site in Pezu, alongside the Waste Heat Recovery Plant at both locations.
