Islamabad, September 13, 2023 – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has undertaken a significant reshuffle of senior Customs officers, with immediate effect, in a move aimed at optimizing the management of customs affairs in the country.

In the latest round of transfers and postings, several seasoned officers of the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) have been reassigned to key positions. These changes are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to various critical roles within the FBR.

Muhammad Sadiq Assumes the Role of Chief Collector of Customs Exports, Karachi

Muhammad Sadiq, an officer of BS-21 of the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS), has been appointed as the Chief Collector of Customs Exports at Custom House, Karachi. He previously held the position of Director General of IPR (Enforcement) in Islamabad, stationed at Lahore. This strategic appointment underscores the FBR’s commitment to facilitating and enhancing Pakistan’s export trade.

Ms. Seema Raza Bokhari Takes Charge as Chief Collector of Customs (North), Islamabad

Ms. Seema Raza Bokhari, also a BS-21 officer of PCS, has been transferred to the post of Chief Collector of Customs (North), Customs House, Islamabad. Her previous assignment was as the Director General of the Directorate General of Input Output Coefficient Organization in Karachi, stationed at Islamabad. Her wealth of experience and expertise is expected to contribute significantly to customs operations in the northern region.

Muhammad Imran Khan Mohmand, a BS-21 officer, has assumed the role of Director General of the Directorate General of Reforms and Automation (Customs) in Islamabad. His previous posting was as the Chief Collector of Customs (North) at Custom House, Islamabad. His appointment aligns with FBR’s ongoing efforts to streamline customs processes and enhance automation to facilitate trade.

Muhammad Saleem Takes Charge of Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi

Muhammad Saleem, an officer of PCS/BS-21, has been transferred and posted as the Director General of the Directorate General of Customs Valuation in Karachi. He previously served as the Chief Collector of Customs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stationed at Custom House, Peshawar. His new role involves overseeing the valuation of goods, a crucial aspect of customs operations.

Previously, she held the position of Director at the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, FBR, Lahore. Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan Assumes Directorate General of Input Output Coefficient Organization

Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan, a PCS/BS-21 officer, has been transferred and posted as the Director General of the Directorate General of Input Output Coefficient Organization in Karachi, stationed at Islamabad. He previously served as the Collector at the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement in Quetta. His new role involves managing the organization responsible for assessing input-output coefficients, which play a crucial role in economic planning.
