Recent sightings of Chery QQ electric cars at a Pakistani port have fueled speculation about a possible local launch.
Master Chery Pakistan is reportedly considering the introduction of the Chery QQ electric car in the local market after several units of the small EV were recently spotted at a Pakistani port.
Images circulating on social media show a few Chery QQ units at the port, raising speculation that the company could be preparing to introduce the electric car in Pakistan. The vehicles appear to be available in red and white exterior colours.
However, Master Chery has yet to make any official announcement regarding the potential launch. The company has also not disclosed expected pricing, specifications, booking details or a possible launch timeline for the Chery QQ electric car.
In the absence of official information, international specifications can provide an indication of what the model could offer if it eventually reaches the Pakistani market.
Chery QQ Returns as an Electric Car
The Chery QQ name is already familiar to Pakistani consumers. The earlier petrol-powered QQ was positioned as an affordable small car and competed in the entry-level segment.
However, the model eventually lost popularity as the Suzuki Alto strengthened its position through competitive pricing, widespread availability and strong demand.
The new Chery QQ takes a different approach by returning as a fully electric vehicle. If introduced locally, it could target buyers seeking a relatively affordable entry point into electric mobility.
Modern Design and Technology
The latest Chery QQ3 features a rounded exterior design with circular lighting elements, a closed front grille, semi-hidden door handles and dual-tone exterior mirrors. The distinctive Q logo on the C-pillar also adds to its identity.
Inside, the EV features a technology-focused cabin. International versions can offer a large 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, ambient lighting, AI-powered voice controls and wireless charging.
Range and Performance
International specifications indicate two motor options producing 58 kW (78 hp) and 90 kW (121 hp). The electric car can also feature a lithium iron phosphate battery with a claimed range of up to 401 kilometres.
Its compact dimensions, combined with a 375-litre boot and additional storage areas, make the Chery QQ suitable for urban driving.
For Pakistan, however, the model’s success would largely depend on its final price, charging support and whether Master Chery considers local assembly.
If launched at a competitive price, the Chery QQ electric car could become an interesting option in Pakistan’s growing budget EV segment.
