MCC Gwadar to hold auction of confiscated goods on February 14

Karachi – The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Gwadar has announced a public auction of various confiscated goods, including lubricant oil and motor vehicle tires, to be held at Custom Station, Panjgur on February 14, 2019.

The auction will take place on an ‘as is where is’ basis, providing an opportunity for interested parties to acquire a range of items.

The confiscated goods set to be auctioned encompass a diverse range, including tractor tires, suphonic acid, instant yeast, biscuits, chocolate, lubricant oil, detergent powder, motorcycle pumps, car tires, ceramic tiles, chewing gum, toffee, cake, cigarettes, polyethylene bags, iron sheets, synthetic carpets, whey powder, and glassware, among other items.

The Model Customs Collectorate emphasized that the auction would be conducted in strict accordance with the provisions of the Customs Act, 1969, and the rules established thereunder. All interested parties and bidders are required to comply with the conditions outlined in the relevant provisions of the Act and the rules governing the auction process.

The auction will be held on an ‘as is where is’ basis, implying that the goods will be sold in their current condition at the Custom Station, Panjgur. To participate in the auction, interested bidders are required to submit a call deposit of Rs25,000 in favor of the Collector of Customs, MCC Gwadar.

Successful bidders will be obligated to deposit the specified amount in cash on the spot, with the remaining bid amount to be paid within seven days of the display of the list of approved lots on the notice board of Custom Station, Panjgur. Additionally, the successful bidder must deposit the bid amount of applicable advance income tax separately.

The Collector of Customs reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning a reason, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the auction rules and regulations. In the event that the auction is not completed within the stipulated period, it may be continued on the next date until the finalization of the auction for all lots.
