Launched in October 2024 and locally produced since January 2025, the MG HS PHEV—a True Hybrid Electric Vehicle—has already captured attention across Pakistan’s growing hybrid vehicle market. With over 500 units delivered so far, the model has earned praise for its sleek design, smooth performance, and eco-friendly driving experience. However, feedback regarding the relatively long overnight charging time with the portable charger prompted MG to act swiftly.
Responding to customer concerns, MG is now equipping all new HS PHEV units with a 7KW fast charger, which significantly reduces charging time—almost cutting it in half. This improvement brings added convenience for urban drivers with busy schedules, especially those relying on their vehicle for daily commutes.

The 7KW charger, valued at PKR 235,000, is now being provided at no additional cost to customers, replacing the previously standard portable charger. Meanwhile, the portable version will remain available as an optional accessory.
