Motorola Razr 50 Certified by TENAA, Design and Specs Revealed

Motorola is gearing up for the launch of its Razr 50 lineup, expected to hit the market in the coming weeks.

Recently, design renders for the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra appeared online. Now, the Motorola Razr 50, identified by model number XT2453-2, has been spotted on China’s TENAA certification website, revealing significant details about the upcoming device.

The TENAA certification listing for the Motorola Razr 50 showcases several design changes from its predecessor. Notably, the Razr 50 series introduces a larger cover display to the standard Razr model. While the cover display is a new addition, the overall design remains consistent with last year’s Razr 40.

The Razr 50 features a 3.6-inch cover display with a resolution of 1056 × 1066 pixels, utilizing an OLED panel. The primary folding display is a 6.9-inch OLED screen offering Full HD+ (1080 × 2640 pixels) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by a 3950mAh battery, ensuring ample usage time.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual camera setup on the Motorola Razr 50, which includes a 50MP primary shooter and a 13MP secondary camera, likely an ultra-wide-angle lens. A 32MP front camera is positioned inside a centered punch-hole notch on the folding display.

For security, the Razr 50 features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device measures 171.3 × 73.9 × 7.2mm and weighs 188 grams, maintaining a sleek and lightweight profile.

Under the hood, the Razr 50 is equipped with an octa-core processor with a peak frequency of 2.5GHz. Speculations suggest this could be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, which has yet to be officially unveiled by MediaTek. Memory options include 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, with storage variants of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The Motorola Razr 50 is expected to support 33W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups. According to rumors, the Razr 50 series is set to launch in June 2024, marking another exciting chapter in Motorola’s foldable phone evolution.
