New prices of Honda Civic after imposition of 18% sales tax

The prices of Honda Civic trims have been increased after the imposition of 18 per cent sales tax.

The federal cabinet approved the Finance Supplementary Bill 2023 allowing increase in general sales tax to 18 per cent and additional taxes on luxury items as part of the reforms related to the International Monetary Fund’s Ninth Review.

The uncertain economic situation and devaluation of local currency against dollar has compelled Honda Pakistan to increase the retail selling prices Honda Civic trims.

Honda Civic 11th generation was launched in Pakistan on March 05, 2022. The sedan is locally manufactured by Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan.

The car is launched in three variants including Honda Civic Standard, Honda Civic Oriel and Honda Civic RS. The prices of these variants as on March 03, 2023 are given below.

The ex-factory price of Honda Civic Standard is Rs7,779,000. The ex-factory price of Honda Civic Oriel is Rs8,099,000 and the ex-factory price of Honda Civic RS is Rs9,199,000.

The sedan is available in seven different colors including Carnelian Red Paint, Urban Titanium Metallic, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Morning Mist Blue Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Honda Civic is powered with DOHC dual VTC and VTEC engine with displacement of 1498cc. The engine of Standard and Oriel variants generates maximum output of 95/5500-6000 kW/rpm at a maximum torque of 180/1700-4500 Nm/rpm.

Whereas, the engine of Civic RS variant generates maximum output of 131/6000 kW/rpm at a torque of 131/6000 Nm/rpm.

The Civic Standard and Oriel variants contain M-CVT transmission, on the other hand, Civic RS variant contains LL-CVT transmission.

Honda Civic has mileage of 11-14 km/l. The fuel tank of the car is capable of carrying 47 liters.

The exterior of the sedan features new generation front grille with stylish designs. The front of Civic is equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with auto-off timer.

The Standard and Oriel trims contain Halogen projector headlamps whereas, the RS trim contains LED headlamps. The RS variant include special feature of auto headlight, auto headlight adjustment and auto high beam. RS trim also features front fog lights.

Civic trims are equipped with one-touch lane winker, lens-type tail lamps, electrically adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals and remote retractable mirrors. The RS variant also features panoramic sunroof.

The sedan contains 16-inch sporty and stylish wheels that elevate the cars aesthetics.

Honda Civic features comfortable and spacious interior with stylish designs. Standard and Oriel variants are equipped with urethane wrapped electric steering wheel. However, the RS variant is equipped with leather wrapped electric steering wheel.

The steering wheel of Civic features multiple switches. It contains switches which gives Audio control, MID, and cruise control. Whereas, the steering wheel of RS variant also include access to voice recognition control. The interior also features 7-inch TFT multi-information instrument display.

The car contains seating capacity of five passengers. The seats wrapped with high grade fabric contain height adjustment and back pockets.

The Civic Standard and Oriel features 7-inch MP5 touchscreen with 4 speakers. Whereas, the RS trim features 9-inch Android-based entertainment system with navigation that supports front camera, dynamic rear camera and webcam.

The standard features include power windows, power door locks, interior lightning, front USB port accessory socket, self-opening trunk and rear AC vents.

The safety features of Honda Civic include SRS airbags, immobilizer, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), vehicle stability assist, traction control, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, driver attention monitor and auto-door lock by speed.

Honda Civic RS variant also include safety features as Honda Sensing, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist System, Road departure mitigation system, Auto High Beam, Lead car departure notification system and walk away auto-locking.
