Karachi, March 13, 2024 – Cricket enthusiasts in Pakistan are gearing up for an exciting cricketing extravaganza as New Zealand Men’s cricket team is scheduled to land in the country on April 14, 2024.
The visit is part of a high-stakes five-match T20I series, igniting the cricketing fervor from April 18 to 27, 2024. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made this eagerly awaited announcement on Wednesday, March 13, underscoring the anticipation surrounding the series.
New Zealand’s arrival on April 14 will provide ample time for the Blackcaps to engage in thorough training and practice sessions, a crucial preparation ahead of the looming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set to kick off in June. This will mark New Zealand’s third visit to Pakistan in the last 17 months, reaffirming the growing cricketing ties between the two nations.
The previous encounters between the two cricketing powerhouses have been nothing short of thrilling contests. The 2022-23 Test series concluded in a 0-0 draw, setting the stage for a gripping rivalry. The subsequent ODI series saw New Zealand emerge victorious with a 2-1 win. Fast forward to April 2023, and the T20I series ended in a nail-biting 2-2 draw, while Pakistan dominated in the ODIs, securing the series with a commanding 4-1 lead.
