Singer and actor Nick Jonas has shared new insights into his dual career in music and acting, explaining how he mentally prepares for performances in both fields. Speaking in a recent interview with People Magazine, the Jonas Brothers member discussed the key differences in his pre-show and on-set routines.
Jonas, who stars in the upcoming film Power Ballad alongside actor Paul Rudd, said that although both singing and acting involve performance, his preparation approach varies depending on the setting.
Singing vs Acting: Jonas Explains Key Difference
Jonas explained that performing on stage and acting in front of the camera are similar in terms of emotional expression, but differ in preparation style.
“The only difference is, and this is actually not all that interesting, but the only difference is before a show, I’m relaxed. I might have a little cocktail, get the vibe right. For a scene, I’m not doing that,” Jonas said.
He added that the pre-performance routine for acting is more focused and controlled compared to his music shows.
Co-star Paul Rudd also noted humorously that the pair never shared a pre-scene drink while filming, joking that finding alcohol in Ireland made it unlikely during production.
