Nissan Bids Farewell to R35 GT-R with Special Editions

Nissan is marking the end of an era with the unveiling of two limited-production special editions, signaling the final chapter for the iconic R35 generation GT-R.

In celebration of its remarkable 17-year run, the T-spec Takumi Edition and Skyline Edition pay tribute to the Nissan GT-R’s enduring impact since its debut in 2007.

After thrilling enthusiasts and setting benchmarks in the supercar realm, production of the R35 GT-R for the North American market will conclude in October.

This legendary sports car has consistently delivered exceptional performance at an unparalleled value, leaving a lasting impression on automotive enthusiasts across the U.S.

Special editions for a memorable farewell

The 2024 Nissan GT-R limited editions will start at an MSRP of $151,090 for the T-spec Takumi Edition and $131,090 for the Skyline Edition. These models are set to arrive at select U.S. Nissan dealerships this summer, with fewer than 200 units available, ensuring their exclusivity and collectibility.

Paying homage to craftsmanship

The GT-R T-spec Takumi Edition honors the master craftspeople who meticulously hand-assemble each GT-R VR38DETT engine. Featuring a red-etched engine badge and a gold VIN plate, this edition emphasizes precision and performance.

Its Midnight Purple exterior and Mori Green interior trim evoke nostalgia for past Skyline/GT-R special editions, while mechanical enhancements ensure top-tier performance.

Embracing heritage with the Skyline Edition

The GT-R Skyline Edition brings the iconic name to the U.S., showcasing Bayside Blue paint and a striking Sora Blue interior inspired by Japan’s breathtaking skylines. This edition pays homage to the car’s storied history, reviving classic design elements for a contemporary audience.

Looking ahead

As Nissan closes this pivotal chapter with the R35 GT-R, the company remains committed to pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation and performance in future endeavors.
