Nissan unveils futuristic EV concepts and connectivity innovations

Nissan has made a bold statement at Auto Shanghai 2023 by showcasing its commitment to electrification and connectivity.

The automaker has unveiled two exciting EV concepts, the Max-Out convertible sports car and the Arizon SUV, both of which are designed to exceed consumer expectations and meet China’s diverse mobility needs.

The Arizon concept, created by a Chinese team with the support of Nissan’s global EV expertise, is a multifunctional partner for Chinese drivers. Its impressive exterior design and warm, high-tech cabin create a premium driving experience.

The Arizon is built on the CMF EV platform, which provides a low center of gravity and a spacious, pillarless open-air cabin with an expansive auto-dimming glass roof.

The Arizon concept also features an innovative interactive lighting system that recognizes people and automatically adapts the illumination to suit their preferences.

Additionally, the concept includes a new virtual personal assistant named Eporo that interacts with passengers in a human-like manner and provides accurate responses utilizing time, weather, and other data. These human-centric features create a truly personalized experience for the driver and passengers.

The Max-Out convertible sports car is a design exploration in “being one with the car.” It embodies Nissan’s new artistic stage and movement toward an increasingly digitized future.

The Max-Out features unique parabolic hologram wheels, an aerodynamic shape, ultra-low center of gravity, and e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system, all of which provide superb handling and enhanced safety. The ultra-wide display screen in the cabin, which resembles the Max-Out’s distinctive exterior lamps, provides the driver with a fusion of the virtual and real worlds.

Both the Arizon and Max-Out concepts showcase Nissan’s long-term vision announced in 2021, Nissan Ambition 2030, which aims to expand the possibilities of mobility and society by providing experiences that inspire confidence and excitement and enable closer connections between people and broader society.

In addition to these exciting EV concepts, Nissan also unveiled the all-new e-POWER X-Trail crossover at Auto Shanghai 2023.

The e-POWER X-Trail features cutting-edge technologies like the second-generation e-POWER electric-drive powertrain and e-4ORCE, providing a smooth and quiet ride. The e-POWER X-Trail is one of the most comprehensive model redesigns in Nissan’s history, and it is set to revolutionize the crossover market.

Nissan COO Ashwani Gupta highlighted the importance of China in Nissan’s global electrification efforts, stating that “China is one of the most technologically sophisticated markets in the world. There is a need for increased electrification and advanced sustainability in the market, and we are working hard to meet it.”

Nissan’s commitment to electrification and connectivity extends beyond these exciting concepts and new models. Visitors to Auto Shanghai 2023 can also see other models equipped with Nissan’s groundbreaking all-electric and electrified technologies, including the Ariya electric crossover SUV and the e-POWER Sylphy.

In conclusion, Nissan’s unveiling of its futuristic EV concepts and connectivity innovations at Auto Shanghai 2023 showcases the automaker’s commitment to meeting China’s diverse mobility needs and its global electrification efforts. These exciting concepts and new models provide a premium driving experience, and Nissan’s dedication to creating a sustainable future is evident in its long-term vision, Nissan Ambition 2030.
