Nora NEO and METRO will join the local EV lineup with 250–300 km claimed range, 70 km/h top speed and LFP batteries.
Nora EV is preparing to expand its presence in Pakistan with two new electric vehicles, the Nora NEO and Nora METRO. The company has shared images of both upcoming models, indicating that the new additions will be larger and more capable than its existing electric vehicle offering.
Both vehicles belong to the L7-category quadricycle segment. However, their dimensions and specifications place them above the smaller electric vehicle currently associated with the Nora EV brand. The METRO, in particular, is significantly larger, with dimensions exceeding those of the Suzuki Swift in overall length and width.
The Nora METRO measures 3,900 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,800 mm in height, while the NEO measures 3,300 mm, 1,600 mm and 1,600 mm respectively. The METRO also gets a 2,360 mm wheelbase and 210 mm ground clearance, compared with 2,300 mm and 180 mm for the NEO.
Both models are equipped with a 23.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and operate on a 72-volt electrical system. Power comes from a 4 kW rear-mounted motor, with both cars featuring rear-wheel drive. Nora EV claims a driving range of between 250 and 300 kilometres, while the maximum speed is rated at 70 km/h.
Charging is expected to take around six to eight hours. The METRO uses 195/70 R14 tyres, whereas the NEO comes with smaller 175/70 R13 units. Both vehicles offer seating for four occupants through five doors.
Despite their quadricycle classification, the upcoming Nora EV models are equipped with several convenience and safety features. These include touchscreen infotainment systems, four power windows, keyless entry, push-button start, central locking, reversing cameras, multifunction steering wheels and electronic parking brakes.
Both cars also feature four-wheel disc brakes, heaters, USB connectivity and aluminium alloy wheels. The METRO receives a 10-inch HD touchscreen, while the NEO gets a 9-inch unit.
Nora EV has also listed a battery warranty comprising a three-year replacement guarantee along with an additional seven-year cell replacement warranty. Further details, including launch timing and pricing for Pakistan, are expected to be announced by the company.
