Kim Kardashian’s 13-year-old daughter clarifies that her edgy facial piercings are temporary accessories and pushes back against online criticism of her appearance and personal style.

North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has clarified that her striking facial piercings are fake, while hitting back at social media users who have criticised her unconventional fashion choices.

North made the revelation during a recent TikTok livestream with her mother, explaining that she frequently changes the accessories, leaving people convinced that the piercings are real.

Sporting four facial piercings during the livestream, North addressed the speculation directly.

“Guys, these piercings are not real,” she said.

“I change them so much that you guys think it’s real,” she added.

Kim, 45, appeared puzzled by the confusion, questioning why people believed the piercings were genuine when her daughter regularly switched up their appearance.

“Yeah, how do people think that they’re real? If they’re all different, all the time,” Kim remarked.

North West wants a real bridge piercing

Although her current facial piercings are temporary, North admitted that she remains interested in getting a real bridge piercing when she is older.

However, her parents are not allowing her to take that step just yet. The teenager also acknowledged that permanent piercings can leave scars.

“I might risk it when I’m older,” North said, as Kim quietly shook her head in the background.

The reality television star suggested a temporary alternative, telling her daughter, “We can glue on for now.”

The exchange highlighted the difference between North’s desire to experiment with her appearance and her mother’s reluctance to approve a permanent change at such a young age.

North hits back at ‘demonic’ accusations

Beyond the debate over her piercings, North also addressed the harsh comments she has received online because of her distinctive appearance and bold fashion choices.

Some critics have labelled her “demonic”, prompting the teenager to challenge what she considers unfair assumptions based solely on how she dresses.

“Stop saying I’m demonic,” North said. “No, I’m not. Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.”

She also spoke openly about her religious beliefs, rejecting suggestions that her fashion preferences reflect anything sinister.

“You guys know I’m not on that demon stuff. I believe in Jesus. That’s how I came to show you guys I’m actually a light, not dark,” she said.

Her comments offered a direct response to online speculation and underscored her frustration with being judged for expressing herself through fashion.

Fashion helps North express her identity

North has previously discussed her personal style in an interview with Dazed, explaining that piercings and fashion help her feel like her “full self”.

The teenager has also made her priorities clear, declaring: “All I want is blue hair and piercings.”

Her willingness to experiment with unconventional looks has attracted considerable attention, particularly given her high-profile family background and young age.

Kim has previously defended her daughter’s confidence, suggesting that North is not particularly troubled by people who dislike her appearance.

As North continues to explore her identity through fashion, her latest comments make one thing clear: she wants people to look beyond her appearance rather than judge her character by her style.
