Nothing has introduced latest smartphone, the Phone (2a), featuring an innovative dual-camera system, all at an exceptionally affordable price point.
The Phone (2a) showcases Nothing’s pioneering internal smartphone design, conceptualized in 2020, shortly after the brand’s inception.
Highlighting the central design element, the dual camera system is ingeniously housed within the NFC coil, forming what Nothing refers to as ‘the eyes.’ The device’s back panel boasts a 90-degree wraparound edge, enhancing drop resistance and is available in sleek Black, White, or ‘Milk’ options.
Equipped with three cameras, the rear features a dual 50MP system, while the front sports the same 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera (1/2.74-inch) as its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (2). The main cameras consist of a 50MP f/1.88 (1/1.56-inch sensor) wide angle with OIS and a 50MP f/2.2 (1/2.76-inch sensor) fixed-focus ultrawide.
The Nothing Phone (2a) embraces Nothing’s distinctive Glyph interface with 26 individually addressable zones. The three lights support various functionalities such as the Glyph Timer, notifications, Glyph Torch, and Glyph Progress.
Powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro chip, co-engineered with MediaTek, the Phone (2a) utilizes TSMC’s cutting-edge 4nm process, with the processor reaching speeds up to 2.8GHz.
Featuring a stunning 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 1084x2412px, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and a variable 30-120Hz refresh rate, the phone operates on Nothing OS 2.5 atop Android 14. With a commitment to updates, users can expect 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
Boasting the largest battery in its class at 5,000mAh, the Nothing Phone (2a) supports rapid 45W charging, achieving 50% charge in just 23 minutes and full charge in 59 minutes. Nothing assures that the battery will maintain 90% of its capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, equivalent to over three years of daily use.
