Nothing Phone (3a), 3a Pro Launching March 4 with 50W Charging

The Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro are set to launch on March 4, and leaked renders have already given us a detailed look at both devices.

While previous reports have covered most of the specifications, one key detail remained uncertain—the charging speed of their rumored 5,000 mAh battery.

That mystery has now been solved, thanks to the devices receiving TÜV SÜD PSB certification in Germany. The certification confirms that both the Nothing Phone (3a) and 3a Pro will support 50W fast wired charging.

Small Upgrade Over Previous Models

Last year’s Nothing Phone (2a) featured 45W fast charging, while the later-released Phone (2a) Plus bumped that up to 50W. This means the Phone (3a) series isn’t a massive upgrade in charging speed, but it does align with the more powerful model from last year.

Interestingly, Nothing is no longer using this minor charging difference as a marketing strategy for the Pro model, focusing instead on more significant hardware improvements.

Key Differences: Periscope Zoom & Snapdragon Chipset

One of the biggest upgrades in the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is expected to be its periscope telephoto camera. While the standard Phone (3a) will feature a 2x optical zoom telephoto lens, the Pro model will boast a 3x optical zoom periscope camera, making it a more compelling choice for photography enthusiasts.

Additionally, both models are rumored to switch to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. They will also run on Android 15 with Nothing’s custom skin. Camera-wise, the primary 50 MP sensor and 8 MP ultrawide lens are expected to be shared across both models.

With the launch just weeks away, more details are likely to emerge soon. Stay tuned for updates as Nothing unveils its latest smartphones.
