Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that the ongoing cold wave in the country to subside soon. In its weather report, the PMD said continental air is dominating most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave persists over the upper and western regions.

The PMD said the weather in Pakistan is expected to remain mainly cold and dry in most parts of the country. Hilly areas will experience very cold and partly cloudy conditions. Light fog is likely at scattered locations in central and southern Punjab during the early hours.
Sunday, December 15, 2024:
According to PMD, the cold and dry spell will continue across most regions of Pakistan, with very cold and partly cloudy weather over the hilly areas. Northwestern Balochistan may witness cloudy weather accompanied by light rain and possible snowfall in the mountainous regions during the night. Light fog is expected in central and southern Punjab at night.

Cold and dry conditions prevailed across much of Pakistan. Hilly areas experienced very cold weather, while central and southern Punjab saw patches of light fog, the PMD added.
