OPPO ColorOSHack 2023 Ignites Innovation for Intelligent Living

OPPO ColorOSHack 2023, with the theme “Pantanal Service, Empowering Lives with Intelligence,” commences on July 11th, focusing on creating intelligent living experiences for over 500 million ColorOS users worldwide.

The contest encourages global developers to leverage the capabilities of Pantanal and develop innovative solutions in lifestyle, transportation, and entertainment domains.

Pantanal, the Comprehensively Intelligent Platform, has collaborated with 21 eco-partners, including Meituan, Baidu Map, Umetrip, Xiaohongshu, Snapchat, Spotify, Zamato, and Swiggy, enabling the contribution of over 300,000 developers to the Pantanal ecosystem. Four strategic partners have established collaborations in various scenarios such as life services, travel, entertainment, and office.

As part of the Pantanal innovation ecosystem, OPPO ColorOSHack 2023 is open for global registration from July 11 to September 15. This year’s competition specifically targets Southeast Asia, seeking local service providers or developers in lifestyle services, transportation services, and entertainment services. Participants are encouraged to develop smart services tailored to the Southeast Asian market by leveraging Pantanal Platform, conceptualizing scenarios, and designing interactive experiences.

Enhancing development efficiency from multiple dimensions, the contest provides developers with the Pantanal Platform’s development capabilities and the Pantanal DevKit, including Pantanal DevFwk, Pantanal DevStudio, and supporting guidelines. These resources facilitate low-cost, cross-terminal service development and enable quick adaptation to different terminals and entry points while optimizing cross-platform operating efficiency.

Pantanal DevFwk transforms complex cross-terminal, multi-service entry points into user-friendly interfaces. Pantanal DevStudio offers an integrated development environment with multiple business module options, reducing costs and improving efficiency. It facilitates consistent cross-platform rendering and real-time preview across multiple entry points and devices, enabling developers to validate results swiftly.

OPPO ColorOSHack 2023 allows developers to explore the open capabilities of the Pantanal Platform and Pantanal DevKits, significantly improving development efficiency. Developers can expect to complete service development in as little as three days and end-to-end service uploads within 30 days.

To support developers, OPPO ColorOS arranges online event briefings, online salons for Q&A and explanations, technical support during the device debugging phase, and expert advice from local Southeast Asian entrepreneurs and OPPO industry experts at the final venue. The OPPO App Store will support and reward the winning works.

OPPO ColorOS also provides comprehensive assistance to Pantanal ecosystem developers, including year-round developer live streams (Otalk), a developer community, salon events, and a developer academy on the official website’s open platform. Additional salon events, live streams, and training materials will be made available in the future.

By lowering development barriers, optimizing training systems, and supporting outstanding global makers, OPPO ColorOS aims to establish a more open and dynamic Pantanal ecosystem. This initiative expands the possibilities for intelligent living experiences for over 500 million ColorOS users worldwide.
