Oppo has officially launched the new Oppo Reno16 Pro and Oppo Reno16 smartphones in China. The latest Reno16 series arrives with premium specifications, including a powerful 200MP triple rear camera setup, large batteries, AMOLED displays, and MediaTek processors.
Both smartphones are currently available for pre-order in China, while official sales will begin on May 29.
Reno16 Pro Features Premium AMOLED Display
The Oppo Reno16 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that supports 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also delivers up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness and features high-frequency PWM dimming for improved eye comfort.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, designed to deliver flagship-level performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI features. The smartphone also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.
Standard Reno16 Gets Compact Design
The standard Oppo Reno16 offers a smaller 6.32-inch OLED display but retains the same 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The handset is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super processor.
Like the Pro model, the Reno16 also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and premium display technology, making it a strong mid-range contender in the smartphone market.
200MP Triple Camera Setup on Both Phones
One of the biggest highlights of the Reno16 series is the advanced triple rear camera system. Both devices feature a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture.
The setup also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor offering a 116-degree field of view. For selfies and video calls, both smartphones feature a 50MP front-facing camera.
Massive Batteries and Fast Charging Support
The Reno16 Pro packs a huge 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the standard Reno16 includes a 6,700mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support.
Both devices run OriginOS 16 and support dual SIM 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR blaster, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings. The Reno16 Pro also supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, while the standard Reno16 is limited to Wi-Fi 6.
Oppo Reno16 Series Price and Color Options
The Oppo Reno16 Pro starts at CNY 4,499 ($660) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It is available in Dreamy Blue, Heart-Fluttering Stars, and Moonlit Night Black colors.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno16 starts at CNY 3,499 ($515) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The device comes in Galaxy Purple, Heart-Fluttering Stars, and Moonlit Night Black shades.
