Pakistan Advocates for Simplified Job Procedures in Saudi Arabia

Islamabad – Pakistan has communicated its desire for the simplification of procedures to facilitate its citizens seeking employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

This diplomatic effort was highlighted during a crucial visit by Jawad Sohrab Malik, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), to the Takamol head office in Riyadh.

Upon his visit, SAPM Jawad Sohrab Malik engaged in discussions with Ahmad Al-Yamani, the CEO of Takamol Holdings, where the primary focus was on creating a more straightforward pathway for Pakistani job seekers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The SAPM emphasized the urgent need for Takamol to establish training centers within Pakistan to align the skill sets of workers with the specific requirements of the Saudi labor market.

The SAPM proposed the establishment of one-window solutions in Pakistan to streamline the emigration process, creating a more efficient and accessible system for those seeking employment in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of expanding Takamol’s footprint in Pakistan to enhance support for Pakistani migrant workers navigating employment opportunities in KSA.

During the meeting, CEO Ahmad Al-Yamani briefed SAPM Malik on various ongoing initiatives by Takamol, with a particular focus on the Skills Verification Program (SVP) and the introduction of digital platforms. The SVP was initiated to ensure the quality of skilled workers in Saudi Arabia, elevating their productivity and improving overall service quality.

Initially launched in Pakistan, the SVP has garnered success and has since expanded to include other countries such as India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. SAPM Jawad Sohrab Malik commended the initiatives undertaken by Takamol, expressing his approval and pledging complete support and coordination for the implementation of the SVP in Pakistan.

The SAPM’s visit serves as a positive step toward fortifying the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, fostering collaboration in the realm of human resource training. This partnership is anticipated to open doors for new Saudi investments in Pakistan and create opportunities for cooperation in the field of human resource development.

The collaborative efforts aim to benefit Pakistani migrants by equipping them with the necessary skills and training required for employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia. The mutual commitment to simplifying procedures and enhancing support systems reflects the shared vision of both nations in fostering economic growth and human development through constructive collaboration.
