Petrol price declines to Rs346 per litre and high-speed diesel to Rs378 as falling international oil benchmarks provide relief to consumers.
Islamabad, November 7, 2026: Pakistan’s petroleum prices recorded a sharp decline during the week ending November 7, 2026, providing significant relief to consumers and businesses amid falling international oil prices.
According to the official petroleum price publications, the total petrol price, excluding secondary freight, fell by Rs31.91 per litre, from Rs377.91 on October 31 to Rs346.00 on November 7.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) decreased by Rs24.96 per litre, declining from Rs402.96 to Rs378.00 during the same period.
The reductions were primarily driven by falling international oil benchmarks. The Platts Arab Gulf Mean average for petrol dropped from $120.56 to $101.92 per barrel, while the Dubai crude benchmark used for diesel pricing declined from $115.75 to $104.34 per barrel.
Meanwhile, government levies and petroleum industry margins remained unchanged. The petroleum levy stood at Rs80 per litre, while the Climate Support Levy remained at Rs5 per litre.
Oil marketing company and dealer margins were maintained at Rs7.87 and Rs9.98 per litre, respectively. Sales tax on both petroleum products remained zero.
The reductions are expected to ease transportation and logistics costs, potentially helping moderate inflationary pressures on consumers and businesses.
The weekly revisions reflect the impact of international oil market movements under Pakistan’s seven-day rolling average petroleum pricing mechanism.
