Pakistan cuts petrol price by Rs7.06, diesel by Rs3.71 for November 5, 2026

Government announces relief for petroleum consumers as international fuel benchmarks decline, reducing petrol to Rs362 and high-speed diesel to Rs387.81 per litre.

ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has reduced the price of petrol by Rs7.06 per litre and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs3.71 per litre, effective November 5, 2026, providing relief to consumers across the country.

According to the latest petroleum price notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs369.06 to Rs362.00 per litre.

The reduction follows a decline in the international Platts Arab Gulf average price of petrol, which fell from $115.49 to $111.45 per barrel, lowering the import and ex-refinery costs.

Similarly, the government has reduced the price of High-Speed Diesel from Rs391.52 to Rs387.81 per litre, effective November 5.

The Rs3.71 per litre reduction reflects a decline in the Dubai crude oil benchmark, which dropped from $112.20 to $110.08 per barrel, alongside a decrease in freight-related costs.

Despite the downward revision, the government has maintained key fixed charges on both petroleum products. These include the Petroleum Levy of Rs80 per litre and Climate Support Levy of Rs5 per litre.

Dealer and oil marketing company margins have also remained unchanged.

Furthermore, petrol and high-speed diesel continue to remain exempt from General Sales Tax (GST).

The latest reduction is expected to provide some relief to motorists, transport operators and businesses, particularly amid continued pressure from elevated fuel and transportation costs.
