Islamabad, December 18, 2023 – Official data released on Monday by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) reveals that the total number of registered voters in the country has surpassed an impressive 128.5 million.

This milestone underscores the continued engagement of the Pakistani populace in the democratic process.

According to the ECP, the current distribution of voters reflects a balance between gender demographics, with 53.87 percent of registered voters being male and 46.13 percent female. This showcases a significant and encouraging level of female participation in the electoral arena, highlighting the strides made towards gender-inclusive representation.

Breaking down the numbers further, over 69.2 million individuals identify as male voters, constituting a substantial portion of the overall electorate. Simultaneously, the female voter count is recorded at over 59.3 million, affirming a robust and active involvement of women in shaping the nation’s political landscape.

This disclosure aligns with the Election Commission’s ongoing commitment to maintaining an updated and easily accessible record of the nation’s voting population, fostering transparency and accountability in the democratic process.

In the capital city, Islamabad, the overall voter count stands at 1.083 million. Of these, 568,406 are male voters, while 514,623 are female voters, reflecting a balanced representation in the federal territory.

Moving to Punjab, the most populous province, the total voter count exceeds 73.278 million. Within this demographic, there are over 39.122 million male voters and more than 34.085 million female voters, according to the Election Commission’s data.

In Sindh, the second-largest province by population, the total voter count is 26.994 million, comprising 14.4612 million male voters and over 12.382 million female voters. The diversity in the voter base reflects the pluralistic nature of the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another key region, has a total voter count of 21.928 million. Among these, 11.944 million are male voters, while 9,983,722 are female voters. This distribution underscores the active civic engagement in the province.
