ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and humid weather across most plain areas of the country on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, while northern parts are expected to remain partly cloudy during the afternoon.

According to the PMD weather update issued at 10:30am on August 25, no weather warning was in effect.

Continental air prevailing over Pakistan

The PMD said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country, while weak moist currents were penetrating the southern half.

Under these prevailing conditions, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most plain areas, with partly cloudy conditions likely over northern areas during the afternoon.

Weather forecast for Wednesday

The weather is expected to remain largely unchanged on Wednesday, August 26.

Weather during past 24 hours

Hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of Pakistan during the preceding 24-hour period.

The highest maximum temperatures were recorded at Turbat and Dalbandin, where the mercury reached 42°C.

Nokkundi and Bahawalnagar recorded maximum temperatures of 41°C.

The latest forecast indicates that hot and humid conditions will continue across much of the country, particularly in the plains, while northern areas may experience some cloud development during afternoon hours.
