PMD forecasts predominantly dry weather across Pakistan on 19 and 20 October, with partly cloudy skies in northern areas and chilly mornings and nights.
Pakistan is expected to experience predominantly dry weather on Monday and Tuesday, 19 and 20 October 2026, while northern areas will remain partly cloudy with cold conditions during the morning and night, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
In its weather forecast issued by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Islamabad at 10:30am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on Monday, the PMD said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country.
The department forecast dry conditions across most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on both days. Upper districts of the province are expected to remain partly cloudy, with cold conditions during the morning and night hours.
The broader national outlook also indicates predominantly dry weather on Monday, with partly cloudy skies in northern areas and colder conditions at night. Similar conditions are expected on Tuesday, although temperatures in northern areas may remain low during both morning and night hours.
The forecast follows generally dry weather across most parts of Pakistan during the preceding 24 hours. Northern areas experienced cold conditions during the morning and night.
Meanwhile, several Sindh and Balochistan locations recorded high maximum temperatures on Sunday. Mithi recorded the highest temperature at 41°C, followed by Karachi at 39°C. Turbat, Lasbella and Shaheed Benazirabad each recorded 38°C.
The PMD forecast suggests that dry conditions will continue across much of the country in the short term, while residents in northern areas should prepare for colder mornings and nights.
