ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across most parts of the country on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with hot conditions expected in the plains during the daytime.
According to the PMD’s latest weather outlook, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan, influencing the country’s weather conditions.
Pakistan weather forecast for Tuesday
Mainly dry weather is expected across most regions on Tuesday, while temperatures are likely to remain high in the plain areas during the daytime.
However, partly cloudy conditions are expected over the northern hilly areas, where light rain may occur in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during the afternoon.
The PMD forecast suggests that most of the country will remain dry, although isolated rainfall could provide temporary relief in parts of the northern mountainous region.
Weather outlook for Wednesday
Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, September 23, with mainly dry weather prevailing across most parts of the country.
Daytime temperatures are likely to remain high in the plains, while partly cloudy weather is forecast in the northern hilly areas.
Light rain may again occur in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during the afternoon, according to the meteorological department.
Weather recorded during the past 24 hours
During the previous 24 hours, dry weather prevailed over most parts of Pakistan, while hot conditions were recorded in the plain areas.
Light rainfall was reported from Babusar in Gilgit-Baltistan, which received 3 millimetres of rain.
The highest maximum temperature recorded during the period was 43°C in Lasbela.
Several other locations also experienced temperatures above 40°C, with Hyderabad, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad and Chhor recording 42°C.
The PMD’s latest forecast indicates that hot and predominantly dry weather will continue across the plains, while northern hilly areas may experience partly cloudy conditions and isolated light rainfall.
