Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, emphasizing the importance of unity, gratitude, and compassion on this auspicious occasion.
In his felicitation message issued on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 1446 Hijrah, Shehbaz stated, “Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us the values of happiness, thankfulness, brotherhood, and empathy.” He highlighted that the holy month of Ramadan instills forbearance, patience, and sacrifice, and it is essential to uphold these virtues beyond Ramadan while adhering to Islamic principles.
Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the challenges confronting the country, stating, “Today, Pakistan faces threats from both internal and external enemies.” He underscored the need to guard against extremism, hatred, and sectarianism, urging the nation to remain united for the country’s integrity and stability.
He stressed, “It is our collective responsibility to strengthen the economy, society, and national solidarity.” He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to economic revival, societal stability, and maintaining law and order, adding, “We must make concerted efforts to put the country on the path to progress.”
Shehbaz noted that Pakistan is engaged in a war against terrorism, and he paid tribute to the officers and jawans of the armed forces who are sacrificing their lives for the nation’s security. “Today, we pray to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of all martyrs and express solidarity with their families,” he said.
He also expressed grief over the martyrs of the Jafar Express incident and extended his condolences to their families. Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif called for remembering the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine. “Pakistan stands firmly with the freedom struggle of the people of IIOJK and Palestine and will continue to support them.”
The Prime Minister urged the international community to play its role in stopping human rights violations and addressing the legitimate concerns of oppressed people. He appealed to the nation to share the joys of Eid-ul-Fitr with the underprivileged, relatives, and neighbors, fostering a welfare society.
Shehbaz concluded by praying, “May Allah Almighty grant us the strength to understand the true significance of Eid-ul-Fitr and implement its teachings in our daily lives.”
