PM wishes Easter greetings to Christian community

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to the Christian community worldwide, with a special emphasis on Pakistani Christian brothers and sisters, as they observed the occasion of Easter.

The prime minister took to his Twitter handle to express his well wishes for the Christian community, extending a very happy Easter to all.

He further added that it is important for all of us to take responsibility in creating a peaceful world where communities can coexist in harmony, and work towards building a hopeful tomorrow.

The PM Office Media Wing issued a separate press release, in which the prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to safeguarding the fundamental rights, lives, and properties of all religious communities in the country.

Expressing his felicitations to the Christian community, he reflected upon the significance of the occasion as a testament to mutual affection and respect, emphasizing the need for unity and interfaith harmony.

The prime minister also highlighted that Easter serves as a reminder of the resilience of Hazrat Isa (AS) and his teachings of tolerance, brotherhood, and love for humanity. He stressed that following these teachings could promote peace and unity in society.

In addition, the prime minister praised the contributions made by the Christian community, highlighting their crucial role during the Pakistan Movement and their continued efforts towards national progress and prosperity.

He called upon everyone to renew their commitment towards creating a peaceful world where all communities can coexist in harmony, and move forward towards a better future.
