PMD Warns of Rain and Thunderstorms in Islamabad on March 21

Islamabad, March 20, 2024 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has alerted residents of Islamabad to brace for rain and thunderstorms expected to hit the capital city on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

According to the latest weather forecast released by the PMD for March 21, 2024, dry weather is anticipated in most parts of the country, with partly cloudy conditions forecasted for upper areas. However, regions including Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, and Islamabad itself are expected to experience rain accompanied by windstorms and thunderstorms. During the past 24 hours, the PMD recorded the highest maximum temperatures as follows: Chhor at 41°C, Mithi at 39°C, and Lasbella, Tando Jam, and Shaheed Benazirabad at 38°C.
