Karachi, February 25, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest shipping activity report for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, providing key updates for stakeholders regarding port operations and vessel movements.

Shipping activity at Port Qasim remained robust as four vessels—MSC Unific-VI, Seaspan Santos, Katsuyama, and LMZ Pluto—docked at various terminals on Monday. These ships were carrying containers, palm oil, and coal, with berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, respectively. The shipping sector at the port continues to see significant operations as trade flows steadily through the region.

In addition, three more vessels—SM Mahi, MSC Michigan-VII, and Stenia Colossus—arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim early Tuesday morning, carrying shipments of containers and coal. These ships are set to be accommodated at the port’s berths as part of ongoing shipping activity.

Over the past 24 hours, Port Qasim saw eight ships actively engaged at its berths. Among them, the container vessel MSC Unific-VI has departed the port after completing its operations earlier today. The port handled a total cargo volume of 114,101 tonnes within the last day, comprising 64,775 tonnes of imported goods and 49,326 tonnes of exported cargo. This included 3,380 containers (1,784 TEUs imports & 1,596 TEUs exports), highlighting the efficiency of port logistics and shipping management.

Currently, 14 ships are stationed at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim, awaiting berthing. Among them, three vessels—SM Mahi, MSC Michigan-VII, and Stenia Colossus—are scheduled to dock at MW-4 and Qasim International Container Terminal later today. As part of ongoing shipping movements, two additional container ships, MSC Cairo-IV and Marathopolis, are expected to arrive at the port’s outer anchorage on Wednesday, further enhancing shipping operations.

The continuous shipping activity at Port Qasim underscores its vital role in regional and international trade. With an increasing number of vessels arriving and departing, the port remains a crucial hub for maritime commerce, ensuring efficient logistics and cargo handling for both imports and exports.
