Two vessels depart as five ships are scheduled to berth at Port Qasim, with coal, rice, cement and container cargo handled

KARACHI: The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) recorded the sailing of two vessels and the berthing of five ships during the last 24 hours, according to its latest shipping activity report issued on September 3, 2026.

The report, covering activity up to 0800 hours on September 3, showed that two vessels departed Port Qasim carrying coal and rice, while five ships were scheduled to berth during the reporting period.

Two vessels sail from Port Qasim

The M.T Sea Rider, with a length overall (LOA) of 183 metres, sailed from Port Qasim at 3:00pm. The vessel was carrying 58,440 tonnes of coal and was handled by Ocean World at PIBT.

The M.V Solana S, measuring 169 metres, was scheduled to sail at 3:30pm. The vessel was carrying 25,066 tonnes of rice and was handled by Eastwind Shipping at M/W-I.

Five vessels scheduled for berthing

Five vessels were scheduled to berth at Port Qasim during the reporting period.

The M.V GSL Melina, measuring 228 metres, was scheduled to berth at 8:30am at QICT-VII. The container vessel was handled by GAC Shipping.

The M.V Vosco Starlight, with an LOA of 190 metres, was scheduled to berth at 8:45am at M/W-II. The vessel was carrying 38,700 tonnes of cement and was handled by Evergreen Shipping.

The M.V Delphinus C, measuring 294 metres, was scheduled to berth at 3:15pm at QT2-II.

The M.V Gooby, with an LOA of 190 metres, was scheduled to berth at 3:30pm at HFP&S-IV.

The M.V MSC Glory R, measuring 243 metres, was scheduled to berth at 6:00pm at QT2-I.

Port Qasim handles bulk and container traffic

The latest shipping activity reflects continued movement of bulk commodities, including coal, rice and cement, alongside container vessel operations at Port Qasim.

The reported vessel movements highlight ongoing cargo handling activity across Port Qasim’s terminals during the latest 24-hour period.
