Port Qasim handles continued container and bulk cargo movement, with vessels carrying coal, steel coil and ethylene among the latest arrivals and departures
KARACHI, September 1, 2026: Port Qasim recorded active maritime operations during the last 24 hours, with three vessels scheduled to sail and three others to berth, according to the latest port data.
The shipping activity was recorded as of 8:00am on September 1, 2026, reflecting continued movement of containerised and bulk cargo through the port.
Three vessels scheduled to sail
Among the vessels scheduled to depart, M.V-MSC Colombo V, with a length overall (LOA) of 294 metres, was carrying containers and was scheduled to sail at 1:30pm from QT2-II.
The vessel was represented by MSC Pakistan and had a draft of 9.90 metres at both the aft and forward positions.
M.V-HSL Perth, measuring 200 metres in length, was carrying 53,046 tonnes of coal. The vessel was scheduled to depart at 3:00pm from PQEPT, with GSA (Pvt) Ltd. acting as its shipping agent.
Its aft and forward drafts stood at 12 metres.
The third departing vessel, M.T-Gaschem Werra, had an LOA of 115 metres and was carrying 3,561 tonnes of ethylene.
It was scheduled to leave at 3:30pm from EVTL, with Al-Pine Marine as its agent. The vessel had a draft of 7.25 metres.
Three vessels scheduled to berth
Meanwhile, three vessels were scheduled to berth at Port Qasim during the day.
M.V-Shel Duck, measuring 180 metres, was scheduled to berth at 11:45am at M/W-II. The vessel was carrying 29,772 tonnes of steel coil and had an 8.78-metre draft.
GAC Shipping was listed as its shipping agent.
M.V-SLS Topaz, with an LOA of 231 metres, was scheduled to berth at 3:30pm at QICT-VII. The available port data did not specify its commodity or manifest quantity.
Later, M.V-MSC Giovanna VII, measuring 300 metres, was scheduled to berth at 4:30pm at QT2-II.
The container vessel had a draft of 12.40 metres and was represented by MSC Pakistan.
