Karachi, April 30, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its detailed report on shipping operations for Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

The report, issued at 0800 hours, outlines vessel movements and activities at the port during the last 24 hours to ensure transparency and facilitate all port stakeholders involved in trade and logistics.

According to the report, shipping operations at Port Qasim have remained smooth and efficient. One significant vessel, M.T-IVAN 6, successfully sailed from the port on Wednesday. The tanker, measuring 107 meters in length, was carrying 3,225 metric tons of LPG. It completed operations and departed at 1500 hours under the agency of M. International. The departure marked a continuation of Port Qasim’s robust shipping schedule, ensuring uninterrupted trade activities.

In terms of arrivals, multiple vessels berthed at Port Qasim to begin or continue cargo handling operations. The M.V-MAERSK CAIRO, a large container ship with a length of 249 meters, arrived at QICT-VII terminal at 0900 hours. The ship is being handled by MSC Pakistan and represents ongoing international container shipping operations at the port.

Another notable arrival was M.T-UMM AL AMAD, an LNG carrier that docked at the Engro Elengy Terminal (EETL) at 1130 hours. The vessel was laden with 140,720 metric tons of liquefied natural gas, showcasing the port’s capacity to handle complex energy-related operations.

Additionally, M.V-ARIADNI, carrying 40,000 metric tons of rice, berthed at M/W-I at 1915 hours and is being managed by Eastwind Shipping. This highlights Port Qasim’s key role in supporting Pakistan’s agricultural exports through well-coordinated shipping operations.

A fourth vessel, M.V-MSC SHINA V, also berthed at QT2-I later in the day, further contributing to the active operational environment at the port.

Port Qasim continues to serve as one of Pakistan’s major hubs for maritime trade. With strategic planning and a strong shipping schedule, operations remain on track to support both imports and exports.
