Karachi, May 9, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its official shipping operations report on Friday morning, detailing maritime activities over the past 24 hours.
The report, issued at 0800 hours, offers a comprehensive overview of vessel movements and port logistics, helping stakeholders track import-export activity and plan accordingly.
According to the latest operations report, one vessel, M.T-AMIR GAS, departed Port Qasim on May 9. The LPG tanker, measuring 100 meters in length, carried 1,855 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas. Managed by M. International and docked at the SSGC berth, the vessel sailed out at 15:30 after successful loading operations.
In terms of arrivals, three ships berthed at Port Qasim on the same day, as outlined in the report. The first was M.T-HELEN, a chemical tanker carrying 4,190 metric tons of EDC (Ethylene Dichloride). This vessel, operated by AL-PINE MARINE, docked at the EVTL terminal at 10:45 hours. Following closely was M.T-AL KHUWAIR, a large LNG tanker with a massive cargo of 146,235 metric tons of liquefied natural gas. This vessel, measuring 315 meters in length and handled by GSA (Pvt) Ltd., berthed at the EETL terminal at 11:00 hours.
Later in the evening, M.V-NEW HANDY also arrived, though specific details regarding its cargo were not disclosed in the current report. However, its berthing at the M/W-II terminal was recorded at 18:00 hours, marking the end of another busy shipping day at the port.
