Port Qasim shipping: Three ships set to sail as more arrive

Port Qasim recorded continued maritime activity on 5 October, with three vessels scheduled to depart and three more expected to berth.

KARACHI: Port Qasim Authority (PQA) recorded continued maritime activity on 5 October 2026, with three vessels scheduled to sail and another three lined up for berthing during the latest 24-hour period.

According to the Daily Shipping Programme, updated at 0800 hours, M.V-STAR OPAL is scheduled to sail at 10:00 hours after handling 57,167 tonnes of coal.

The 199-metre vessel is operating through Ocean World and is berthed at PIBT.

M.V-KIAN, measuring 77 metres, is scheduled to depart at 15:30 hours carrying 2,000 tonnes of rice. The vessel is represented by Ocean World and is berthed at FAP.

At the same time, M.T-PGC YIANNIOS is due to sail at 15:30 hours after handling 5,500 tonnes of LPG. The 120-metre vessel is represented by Al-Pine Marine and is berthed at SSGC.

Three Vessels Scheduled to Berth

On the berthing side, M.V-SEA DESTINY is expected at 12:30 hours to handle 42,300 tonnes of coal at HFP&S-IV. The 190-metre vessel is represented by Ocean World.

M.V-MEDI ROMA, a 200-metre vessel, is scheduled to berth at PIBT at 13:00 hours with a 58,900-tonne coal cargo. It is also represented by Ocean World.

Meanwhile, M.V-SPIRIT OF BERTRAM, measuring 170 metres, is expected to berth at 23:59 hours at QT2-II.

Coal, Rice and LPG Handling Continues

The latest shipping schedule highlights continued cargo handling activity at Port Qasim, with coal accounting for the largest volumes among the vessels listed.

The port is also handling rice and LPG cargoes, underlining its role in supporting Pakistan’s industrial, energy and trade requirements.

The latest movements comprise vessels scheduled both to depart after completing cargo operations and to arrive for further handling, reflecting continued activity at one of the country’s key maritime gateways.
