Pak Suzuki has recently announced that it will be raising the prices of its Suzuki Swift models due to the effects of the sales tax hike and the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against the US Dollar.
The company cites the current economic situation and unstable exchange rate as the main reasons behind the decision to increase the retail selling prices of the Swift trims.
The car is launched in three variants including Swift GL, Swift GL (CVT) and Swift GLX (CVT). The prices of these variants as on April 10, 2023 are given below.
Price of Suzuki Swift:
The revised price of Suzuki Swift GL MT is increased by Rs204,000 to Rs4,256,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,052,000.
The revised price of Suzuki Swift GL CVT is increased by Rs219,000 to Rs4,574,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,335,000.
The revised price of Suzuki Swift GLX CVT is increased by Rs235,000 to Rs4,960,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,725,000.
Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited launched the Suzuki Swift in Pakistan on February 24, 2022. This locally manufactured car is available in six different colors, including Solid White, Silky Silver, Mineral Grey, Phoenix Red, Black, and Cerulean Blue.
Engine of Suzuki Swift:
Under the hood, the Suzuki Swift is powered by a 1.2-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder VVT petrol engine, which delivers a power of 92 horsepower and a torque of 113 Nm at 4200 RPM through a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. The engine is enhanced by VVT technology, which provides more power and fuel efficiency.
Additionally, the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) offers more control and the option to engage sports mode for faster and more powerful response.
Exterior of Suzuki Swift:
The exterior of the car boasts bold chrome-accented honeycomb front grills, crafted polished alloys, muscular body lines, and pillar-mounted back-door handles. The car is also equipped with Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and sensor-enabled adjustable LED projector headlamps for excellent vision at night.
Interior of Suzuki Swift:
Moving to the interior, the car features a push-start button with a D-shaped steering wheel and cylindrical gauges in the cockpit. The 9-inch infotainment screen allows for Apple or Android phone mirroring and navigation. The climate control panel allows for intuitive operation, and the car also carries a cruise control option, making longer distances seem shorter.
Safety features:
For security, the car is equipped with a car alarm system that provides protection against unauthorized access. The car also features a 6 occupant-protective SRS airbag system for collision safety. The SRS airbags deploy from both the front and sides in the event of a collision, keeping passengers safe from all angles.
