Prices of Honda Civic in Pakistan after imposition of 25% sales tax

Honda Pakistan updated the prices upward of Honda Civic trims after devaluation of Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against US Dollar and imposition of 25 per cent sales tax.

The current uncertain economic situation in Pakistan, along with the volatile exchange rate, have caused an increase in the cost of production for Honda Pakistan. As a result, the company has decided to increase retail selling prices of their cars and pass on this burden to the market.

The economic situation in Pakistan may continue to fluctuate, and further adjustments to car prices may be necessary in the future to ensure the company’s continued viability.

The car is launched in three variants including Honda Civic Standard, Honda Civic Oriel and Honda Civic RS. The prices of these variants as on March 25, 2023 are given below.

The price of Honda Civic Standard has been increased by Rs820,000 to Rs8,599,000 from previous price tag of Rs7,779,000.

The price of Honda Civic Oriel has been increased by Rs850,000 to Rs8,949,000 from previous price tag of Rs8,099,000.

The price of Honda Civic RS has been increased by Rs1,000,000 to Rs10,199,000 from previous price tag of Rs9,199,000.

Honda Civic sedan is available in a total of seven different colors in Pakistan. These colors include Carnelian Red Paint, Urban Titanium Metallic, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Morning Mist Blue Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. These colors provide customers with a range of options to choose from, allowing them to select the color that best suits their preferences.

The Honda Civic is powered by a DOHC dual VTC and VTEC engine with a displacement of 1498cc. The Standard and Oriel variants of the Honda Civic have an engine that can produce a maximum output of 95/5500-6000 kW/rpm and a maximum torque of 180/1700-4500 Nm/rpm, respectively.

In contrast, the engine of the Civic RS variant can deliver a higher maximum output of 131/6000 kW/rpm and a maximum torque of 131/6000 Nm/rpm.

These specifications indicate that the Honda Civic is equipped with a powerful engine that can deliver impressive performance.

Honda Civic Standard and Oriel variants are equipped with M-CVT transmission. Meanwhile, the Civic RS variant features LL-CVT transmission.

The sedan has a mileage range of 11-14 km/l. Additionally, the fuel tank of the vehicle is capable of carrying up to 47 liters of fuel.

Honda Civic has a stylish exterior with new-generation front grille designs, and Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with an auto-off timer. The Standard and Oriel trims are equipped with halogen projector headlamps, while the RS trim contains LED headlamps.

Additionally, the RS variant features auto headlight, auto headlight adjustment, and auto high beam functions, as well as front fog lights.

Other exterior features of the Honda Civic include one-touch lane winker, lens-type tail lamps, electrically adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and remote retractable mirrors.

The RS variant also includes a panoramic sunroof and 16-inch sporty wheels that enhance the car’s aesthetics.

The interior of the Honda Civic is spacious and comfortable, with stylish designs. The Standard and Oriel variants come with a urethane-wrapped electric steering wheel, while the RS variant features a leather-wrapped electric steering wheel.

The steering wheel of the Civic has multiple switches for audio control, MID, and cruise control, and the RS variant includes access to voice recognition control. The interior also features a 7-inch TFT multi-information instrument display.

Honda Civic can seat up to five passengers, with seats wrapped in high-grade fabric that features height adjustment and back pockets.

The Standard and Oriel variants feature a 7-inch MP5 touchscreen with four speakers, while the RS trim boasts a 9-inch Android-based entertainment system with navigation that supports a front camera, dynamic rear camera, and webcam.

The car comes with standard features such as power windows, power door locks, interior lighting, a front USB port, accessory socket, self-opening trunk, and rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, the Honda Civic is equipped with SRS airbags, immobilizer, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), vehicle stability assist, traction control, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, driver attention monitor, and auto-door lock by speed.

The RS variant includes Honda Sensing safety features such as Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Auto High Beam, Lead car departure notification system, and walk away auto-locking.
