Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended warm greetings to the Pakistani nation and Muslims around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. In his heartfelt message, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this holy day and its profound lessons in faith, sacrifice, and unity.

“Eid-ul-Adha commemorates the unwavering commitment and readiness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his beloved son Prophet Ismail without hesitation, as commanded by Almighty Allah,” Prime Minister Shehbaz said. “The day reminds us of the importance of sacrificing what is most dear to us in the way of Allah. It teaches us the value of selflessness and devotion to Allah.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored that Eid-ul-Adha is not only a religious observance but also an opportunity to strengthen communal bonds and support those in need. He highlighted the day’s potential to bring people together, fostering brotherhood and fraternity, and encouraged the nation to ensure that the less fortunate are included in the collective celebration.

“The essence of Eid-ul-Adha lies in its ability to unite people and nurture a sense of community. It is a time to reflect on our blessings and share them with others, particularly those who are less fortunate,” the Prime Minister stated. “By reaching out and including everyone in our celebrations, we embody the true spirit of Eid.”

Amid the joyous celebrations, Prime Minister Shehbaz also addressed the global challenges and conflicts that continue to plague many regions, expressing his deep concern for those affected. “Whilst our wish is for peace, prosperity, and love to prevail all over the world during Eid-ul-Adha, we are also watching with sadness and concern the ongoing conflicts and violence in many countries worldwide,” he said.

In his message, he paid particular attention to the suffering of the people in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), urging the international community to recognize and address their struggles. “We should not forget the sacrifices and sufferings of the people of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha,” he added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz extended his prayers and solidarity to the Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters, acknowledging their resilience in the face of adversity. “On this day of Eid-ul-Adha, we pray for our Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters who are bravely facing brutal foreign occupation but remain steadfast in their struggle to achieve their right of self-determination,” he declared.

Concluding his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his hopes for a better future for the Muslim ummah, filled with unity, prosperity, and happiness. “May the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha, with its message of solidarity and unity, bring prosperity, success, and happiness to the entire Muslim ummah,” he prayed.
