Both the Proton Saga 1.3L Standard M/T and A/T variants are powered by a 4-cylinder, inline 16-valve DOHC VVT engine with a capacity of 1299cc.
They deliver a maximum power output of 91 kW at 5750 rpm and a maximum torque of 117 Nm at 4000 rpm. The M/T variant features a 5-speed manual transmission, while the A/T variant comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
