KARACHI, May 4, 2026 – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday unveiled the PSL 11 Team of the Tournament, appointing Babar Azam as captain following his title-winning campaign.
The team features a balanced mix of top performers, with three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen, two each from Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, and one apiece from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.
The selection was made by a five-member panel from the commentary team, which also named the Emerging Team of the Tournament to recognise rising talent. A total of 44 matches were played between March 26 and May 3 across Lahore and Karachi.
Babar Azam Leads from the Front
Babar Azam enjoyed a stellar season, finishing as the leading run-scorer with 588 runs. He secured the Hanif Mohammad Cap and equalled Fakhar Zaman’s record for most runs in a single PSL season set in 2022.
His campaign included two centuries against Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, underlining his consistency and dominance at the top of the order.
Key Performers Across Franchises
Peshawar Zalmi are further represented by Kusal Mendis and Sufyan Moqim. Mendis scored 550 runs with a century and four fifties, while also contributing eight dismissals as wicketkeeper. Sufyan starred with the ball, taking 22 wickets at an average of 14.40 and an economy of 7.20, earning both Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler awards.
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s trio includes Usman Khan, Hassan Khan and Hunain Shah. Usman scored 389 runs, while Hassan impressed with his all-round contributions. Hunain claimed 17 wickets in 10 matches, emerging as a key bowler.
From Lahore Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman scored 401 runs, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took 16 wickets with an economy rate of 7.86.
Shan Masood of Multan Sultans earned his place with 367 runs at an average of 45.87. Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan delivered a strong all-round performance with 173 runs and 17 wickets, winning the Best All-Rounder award. His teammate Richard Gleeson added 12 wickets with effective new-ball spells.
Quetta Gladiators’ Hasan Nawaz was named as the 12th player after scoring 291 runs.
