Qatar Classic Welcomes Women’s Draw After 8-Year Gap

The Qatar Classic is set to make a triumphant return, making history by featuring a women’s draw for the first time since 2015.

The eagerly awaited tournament will grace the prestigious Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha, from September 9 to 16, treating squash aficionados to a display of exceptional skills as the world’s top players vie for glory.

The spotlight shines on the women’s category, headlined by the remarkable World No.1, Nouran Gohar. Enjoying a direct entry into the second round, Gohar is poised for thrilling matchups against formidable rivals, including the talented Olivia Fiechter and the fierce Amanda Sobhy.

Anticipation builds for a potentially epic semifinal showdown with her arch-nemesis, Hania El Hammamy. On the flip side of the bracket, the determined 2015 finalist and World Champion, Nour El Sherbini, is resolute in her quest for the coveted title.
